Hospiscare Open Garden Vineyard Tour
As an exclusive offer to support Hospiscare, Wellhayes Vineyard are offering a dedicated vineyard tour as part of Hospiscare's Open Garden 2026 on Saturday 6th June at 3pm. This is offered at the special price of £25 and all net proceeds will go to Hospiscare. There are only 24 places available for this special offer and prior booking is therefore essential.
The visit to Wellhayes Vineyard, includes a talk by the owner along with a tour of the winery and the vineyard as well as a glass of the award-winning Wellhayes Sparkling Wine and samples of the Wellhayes luxury handmade chocolates together with a traditional Devon cream tea. Stout footwear is recommended.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, although we ask that they don't come into the winery. It is usually fine for the owners to stay with them and listen from the door. All facilities are wheelchair-accessible, although the vineyard is on quite a steep slope and, therefore, access to the vineyard itself is more limited. Please advise on any accessibility requirements at the time of booking.
Wellhayes Vineyard is located 2/3rds mile north of the village of Clayhanger where the postscode, EX16 7NY, is centred. If you reach the village, therefore, you have either gone too far or not far enough. With the church on your right, continue along the lane for 2/3rds mile. Wellhayes Vineyard is then on the right hand side.
Car parking is in the all-weather car park below the vineyard, accessed through the main courtyard from where the tour starts.
